Artists' books are a comprehensive art form that takes books as the medium and integrates artistic expression with design thinking.In China,Xu Bing is one of the earliest artists engaged in the creation and research of this field.Over his more than 40-year artistic career,he has created numerous book-based artworks,which have exerted far-reaching influence and served as the visual embodiment of his artistic ideas.Focusing on Xu Bing's representative artists' books,this paper analyzes the historical context,creative ideas,artistic language and conceptual connotations of these works.It summarizes the creative methods and artistic paradigms of this art form,and explores how the artist shapes and enriches his creative logic through diverse media.
